Do you know what Staff Council does for and at the University of Vermont?
We're staff just like you and we work on your behalf to give you a voice at the University.
As the governance body for staff, we meet with the University President, administrators, and others to let them know what staff need to do their jobs and collaborate on ways to find solutions that benefit staff and the entire UVM community.
Staff Council has been instrumental in achieving expanded benefits that better the lives of staff. We also oversee the Staff Emergency Loan Fund which provides interest free loans to staff in need.
And Staff Council continues to advocate for personal and professional development by supporting mandatory performance appraisals and a career path program.
We organize events that build community among staff and the rest of the University. Like our annual Holiday Bazaar and Food Drive, bus trips, and the staff Art Exhibit. And we sponsor a Community Service Award to recognize the volunteerism of UVM staff outside of the University.
We advocate for you. We seek out and respond to your ideas and concerns. We keep you informed about University initiatives.
