The 6th Annual Northeast Queer and Trans People of Color Conference (NEQTPOCC) will be held at the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont on March 20th-21st, 2020. The theme for this year's conference is "Alive in Ancestry: We Existed, Are Existing, and Will Continue to Exist." We are excited to announce our call for workshop proposals.
We are grounded in our multiple hxstories, connected to our ancestors, and looking to produce a healing future. The NEQTPOC Conference looks to combat erasure, reclaim our narratives, engage in community nourishment, and foster health and well-being; all necessary for healing from existing in predominantly white and/or cis-heteronormative spaces.
This form is a call for those who would like to create and facilitate a workshop or presentation. NEQTPOCC invites interested students, faculty, staff, and community leaders and activists to submit an idea for a workshop or presentation.
We especially welcome workshops that center Blackness, Indigeneity, disability, and transness/gender nonconformity. We are also interested in workshops that allow participants to learn and/or practice concrete skills, such as dancing/movement, self and community care, writing, applying makeup, peer/community counseling, herbal medicine/emergency first aid, and self-defense.
Below are guiding questions to help conference organizers, figure out what workshops will best complement our mission as stated above.

• Workshop sessions are 75-minute time blocks on Saturday, March 21st.
