Hooding and Guest Hooders

Hooding is a part of the Commencement Ceremony immediately prior to when each graduate receives their diploma. As each graduating student's name is called, they ascend the stage and are seated on the "hooding stool". A doctoral hood is then placed over their head. Students may request to have a guest hooder assist Dean Zehle with their hooding.

Students who wish to have a guest hooder should review the document below for information on who may serve as a guest hooder. Guest hooder names must be shared with Liz Dohrman by Friday, April 19.
