35th 4-H Shooting Sports Jamboree
What is the 4-H Shooting Sports Jamboree?
Jamboree is the Vermont 4-H Shooting Sports state shoot. It is the event where 4-H members from all over the state gather together to take part in 6 discipline competitions – Wildlife, Rifle (.22 smallbore), Pistol (.22 smallbore for 14 & older & air pistol for 8-13), Archery, Seneca Run (Muzzleloader, Flint & Steel, Primitive Archery, Tomahawk or Knife) and Shotgun.
It is combined with a family camping weekend. Camping is primitive and not required to participate.
Friday afternoon practice and instruction take place. Youth activities take place in the evening.
Saturday, all day, competition takes place followed by a potluck dinner for all.
Sunday morning – awards for each discipline as well as overall placement.
