2025 Stormwater Education Methods Course
Registration

This course will introduce students to the concept of stormwater management within a watershed context. It is structured to introduce and engage students in use of a stormwater stewardship curriculum, Soaking Up Stormwater through Stewardship in the Lake Champlain Basin.

This course will be offered both to those interested in taking it for one graduate credit and those not interested in receiving a formal university course credit. All participants will engage in a variety of hands-on learning activities over a 2-day in-person workshop on July 31st and August 1. Those taking the course for graduate credit are required to engage more deeply with course materials. They will be asked to contribute to a course discussion board, read, watch videos, and listen to podcasts, participate in a webinar, develop a written plan/reflection and share that via a presentation, and actively listen to others' presentations. The course will also provide participants with information about opportunities to implement various green stormwater infrastructure practices on school campuses through the Green Schools program.

Please use this form to apply to participate as a non-credit or credit participant in the 2-day workshop. Those who wish to take this course for one graduate credit through the University of Vermont should also register on the UVM summer course website. We will email all who register with details about the meeting location and parking for the in-person workshop.
