Socially Responsible Investing Advisory Council (SRI-AC): Application for Student Representative

BACKGROUND ON SRI-AC

SRI-AC works on issues related to socially responsible investing and also administer the Sustainable Campus Fund, a student-generated fund (all students pay $10/semester), that is designed to increase sustainability projects and education on campus.

This position sits on a council with representatives from across campus (staff, faculty and students) totaling 10 voting members. It’s a rare opportunity for students to learn about a university at the highest levels of leadership.

ADVISORY COUNCIL ROLE AND COMMITMENT

The role of undergraduate or graduate student representative on SRI-AC is one of influence at the university. We hold 1-hour meetings twice per month and each semester hold a Sustainable Campus Fund Forum that lasts 2 hours, where your presence is necessary to judge applications to the Sustainable Campus Funds from university community members – mostly students. Students who can contribute to the diversity of the SRI Advisory Council are encouraged to apply. We ask for a minimum 1 year commitment but prefer when students can participate for longer because we often work on long term initiatives.

APPLICATION

Currently accepting applications for one undergraduate and two graduate student positions starting in fall 2024.
